AV/IT Consultation
Services.

A structured path from first conversation to a working, handed-over system—so the design is right before anything is installed.

Why consult first

Good Outcomes Are Decided Before Installation.

AV and IT systems are tightly linked: rooms depend on network, power, cabling and security as much as on cameras and displays. Decisions made early—about requirements, layout, budget and timeline—determine whether a project goes smoothly or struggles.

Our consultation service gives you clear requirements, a buildable design, a reviewed plan and a properly commissioned handover.

01

Stage 01

Information Gathering With Clients.

We start by listening. Through workshops, interviews and site visits, we learn how your teams meet, present and work, and what the technology must support.

The aim is a shared, written understanding of the requirement, which then guides every later decision.

What we do

  • Stakeholder interviews and requirement workshops with business, IT, facilities and security teams
  • Site surveys and measurements of rooms, ceilings, risers, power and cabling routes
  • Review of existing AV equipment, network, Wi-Fi and meeting platforms
  • Capture of room types, capacity, usage patterns and hybrid-working needs
  • Review of security, compliance and standards requirements
  • Identification of constraints: building rules, landlord requirements, fit-out programme and budget

What you receive

  • Requirements brief agreed with stakeholders
  • Site survey findings and photographs
  • Existing-system summary with reuse and replace observations
  • Initial risks, assumptions and open questions
02

Stage 02

Design Of AV & IT Systems.

From the agreed requirement, we develop the AV and IT design together, so rooms, network and infrastructure are planned as one system. The design is documented with technical drawings, a project timeline and a budget, so decisions can be made with confidence.

Design scope

  • AV design: room layouts, sightlines, display sizing, audio coverage, conferencing and control
  • IT design: structured cabling, network and VLANs, Wi-Fi, PoE, bandwidth and security for AV and collaboration
  • Selection of equipment, aligned to your platform, standards and support model
  • Coordination with interior designers, architects, main contractors and building management

Design documents

  • Technical drawings: system block and signal-flow diagrams, equipment layouts and rack elevations
  • Cable schedules, containment, power and data requirements for other trades
  • Bill of quantities and equipment schedule
  • Project timeline with milestones, dependencies and lead times
  • Budget: itemised estimates by room and system, with options and contingency

Technical drawings

Clear drawings that other trades and contractors can build from.

Project timeline

Design approval, procurement, cabling, installation, commissioning and handover, aligned with the fit-out programme.

Budget

Itemised estimates, options, phasing and contingency, so you can plan and approve with confidence.

03

Stage 03

Project Review.

Before and during delivery, a structured review checks that what is being designed and built still meets the agreed requirement, timeline and budget. It also gives you a second opinion on designs or quotations prepared by others.

What we review

  • Design against the requirements brief and standards
  • Equipment selection, compatibility and lifecycle
  • Network, security and platform readiness
  • Progress against timeline, with dependencies and risks flagged
  • Cost against budget, with value-engineering options
  • Change requests and their impact on scope, time and cost

What you receive

  • Review report with findings and priorities
  • Updated risk and issue register
  • Recommendations for design or scope changes
  • Sign-off checkpoints before key milestones
04

Stage 04

Handover & Commissioning Service.

A system is only complete when it is tested, tuned, documented and understood by the people who will use and support it. Our handover and commissioning service closes the project properly.

Continue with Support & Maintenance →

Commissioning

  • Pre-commissioning checks of cabling, power and network
  • System configuration, camera framing and audio DSP tuning
  • Control programming tests and meeting-platform validation
  • Acceptance testing against an agreed test plan
  • Defect list tracking until closed

Handover

  • As-built drawings and configuration records
  • Operation and maintenance documentation
  • End-user quick guides and administrator training
  • Warranty and support information
  • Transition to ongoing support

Who it is for

When Consultation Helps Most.

01

New offices and fit-outs

Plan AV and IT with the interior design and construction programme.

02

Relocations and refurbishments

Re-use what makes sense and replace what does not.

03

AV refresh programmes

Standardise rooms and platforms across a floor, an office or a region.

04

Multi-site standardisation

Define room types, equipment standards and support models.

05

Regulated organisations

Align design with security, compliance and audit expectations.

06

Second opinions

Review designs or quotations prepared by others.

Questions, answered

A Clearer Starting Point.

Can consultation be a standalone service?

Yes. You can use the design and documents for your own tender or delivery, or discuss delivery with us. Scope is agreed up front.

How long does consultation take?

It depends on the number of rooms, sites and complexity. We agree a timeline when we scope the work.

Can you work with our interior designer or contractor?

Yes. We coordinate with designers, architects, contractors and building management, and provide drawings they can use.

What happens after handover?

We can continue with preventive maintenance and helpdesk support. Explore support services.
