Mic Array
Systems.

Clear speech from every seat, without a forest of table microphones, so remote participants hear everyone naturally.

Why arrays

Great Video Is Not Enough Without Great Audio.

In hybrid meetings, poor audio is the most common complaint. Microphone arrays use multiple capsules and DSP to pick up speech from around the table, reduce room noise and keep the table clear.

Brands

Mic Array Systems.

Shure and Sennheiser both offer ceiling, table and bar-style arrays for boardrooms.

Shure Mic Array System

Ceiling, table and linear arrays with DSP and network audio.

Ceiling microphone arrays

Ceiling-mounted arrays capture voices across a meeting table without occupying desk space. Beamforming pickup can support flexible seating and help maintain a clean boardroom aesthetic.

Table and linear microphone arrays

Tabletop and linear formats bring microphones closer to participants where room geometry, ceiling height or acoustic conditions call for a different pickup strategy.

DSP and networked audio

Digital signal processing supports acoustic echo cancellation, noise management and consistent speech levels. Networked audio enables integration with conferencing platforms and room systems.

System design and commissioning

Microphone coverage, speaker placement, room acoustics and camera integration should be assessed together. Tuning and testing help ensure clear audio for both in-room and remote participants.

Sennheiser Mic Array System

TeamConnect ceiling arrays, bars and intelligent speakers.

TeamConnect Ceiling solutions

Sennheiser TeamConnect ceiling microphones use beamforming to capture speech across collaborative spaces while keeping the meeting table free of microphones.

TeamConnect Bar solutions

Integrated conferencing bars combine microphone pickup with speaker and processing functions, offering a streamlined option for suitable smaller collaboration rooms.

Intelligent speech pickup

Automatic beam steering and speech-focused processing help follow active speakers and improve intelligibility across different seating positions.

Integration and room readiness

The final design should account for ceiling geometry, acoustic reflections, network requirements, conferencing platform compatibility and commissioning for the intended room size.

What we design around

Audio Decisions.

01

Room acoustics

Reverberation, noise and surfaces reviewed so the microphone choice suits the room.

02

Coverage

Array position and pick-up zones planned so every seat is covered.

03

Echo and noise control

Acoustic echo cancellation and noise reduction in the audio path.

04

Speaker reinforcement

Loudspeaker placement so remote voices are clear and natural.

05

Integration

Connection to the conferencing system, control and network audio.

06

Monitoring

Status and levels visible to support teams.

Questions, answered

A Clearer Starting Point.

Ceiling or table array?

Ceiling arrays keep the table clear and suit most boardrooms. Table arrays can suit rooms where the ceiling is unsuitable or difficult to access.

Do we need one if the video bar has microphones?

For smaller rooms, no. For longer tables and larger boardrooms, a dedicated array gives more even pick-up.
