Why boardrooms are different
Executive Meetings Leave Little Room For Technical Doubt.
A boardroom is rarely used casually. Meetings are high-stakes, often hybrid, and attended by people who expect the room to simply work. Every layer—video, display, audio and control—has to be dependable and invisible.
Komstadt designs boardroom AV as a single integrated system rather than a list of products. The room, the table, the platform in use and the people in the meeting decide the specification.

The Layers Have To Work Together.
A premium camera cannot compensate for poor audio, and a large display is of little use if the room is difficult to start. We design the four layers together so they behave predictably in the room.
Questions we resolve at design stage
- Which meeting platform does the room need to run—Teams, Zoom, Webex, or several?
- How many people, what table layout, and where do remote participants appear?
- What viewing distance and ambient light does the display need to handle?
- How is audio captured and reinforced so every seat is heard evenly?
- Who operates the room, and what should one touch do?
Questions, answered
A Clearer Starting Point.
Can you retrofit an existing boardroom?
Yes. Many boardrooms are upgraded in place. We review the existing equipment, cabling and room constraints, then recommend what to retain and what to replace.
Do you work with a specific platform?
Systems are designed around the platform your organisation uses, whether that is Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex or a mix. Hardware choices follow that decision.
What about ongoing support?
Preventive maintenance and helpdesk coordination can be included in scope. Explore support services.
Planning guide
Boardroom AV Planning Essentials
Enterprise boardroom technology works best when the camera coverage, display position, microphone pickup and meeting platform are designed together.
What Equipment Is Needed For A Hybrid Boardroom?
Depending on room scale, a solution can combine a conferencing codec or video bar, camera, speaker and microphone system, one or more professional displays and an intuitive room controller.
How Do We Make A Meeting Room Easier To Use?
Align the conferencing platform with the control interface, automate common room actions where appropriate and make joining a call consistent from one room to the next.
What Information Is Useful Before Designing A Boardroom?
Share the room dimensions, seating plan, typical meeting size, preferred conferencing platform and any equipment to retain. These details help determine camera views, microphone coverage, display placement and control needs.
